"Being listened to and heard is one of the greatest desires of the human heart." R. Carlson
Counseling is more than a profession to me; it is my calling. My faith has led me to this work, and I am deeply honored to support you with compassion, respect, and the conviction that every person has the capacity to grow and heal.
At the heart of my approach is the belief that relationships shape every part of our lives. In my experience, the relationships that help us heal are the ones where we feel heard and truly known. Whether you're navigating personal struggles, family challenges, or relationship difficulties, my hope is that you'll find a place where you can share your story openly and know that you don't have to face it alone.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor, I work with clients across Colorado.
My graduate education is in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and I earned an Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Marriage and Family Counseling. This advanced study has deepened my work with couples and strengthened my understanding of relationships and family systems.
No matter your struggle, I hope you feel safe here.
I am known for being warm, genuine, and easy to talk to. My counseling style is collaborative and tailored to your needs, allowing us to move at a pace that feels right for you. While we take your concerns seriously, healing can also include hope, laughter, and moments of joy along the way.
Your experiences, relationships, and goals are unique, and your therapy should reflect that. Rather than a single approach, I integrate evidence-based therapies, including Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFCT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), to support your goals, strengthen your relationships, and promote overall well-being.
If faith is an important part of your life, I am happy to incorporate a Christian perspective into the counseling process. Depending on your preferences, this may include biblical principles, Scripture, prayer, and encouragement grounded in your beliefs. If you choose to include faith in counseling, we will do so in a way that reflects your values, preferences, and goals.
Providing thoughtful, effective care also means continuing to learn and grow. I value lifelong learning and regularly pursue advanced education and professional training to better serve my clients.
