A Relational Approach to Meaningful Change
Hi, I'm Sam.
I became a counselor because I genuinely care about people and their stories. I’ve always been drawn to understanding what happens beneath the surface - how our experiences shape us, why we respond the way we do, and what helps us heal and grow.
I value creating a space where people can be honest about what they’re carrying without judgment or pressure to have everything figured out. My Christian faith has shaped my values of compassion, grace, and hope, while my work remains grounded in evidence-based care and respect for each client’s beliefs and preferences.
It’s a privilege to help people understand themselves more deeply, heal from painful experiences, strengthen their relationships, and discover that meaningful change is possible.
I integrate evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to each client's needs and goals. My training includes:
Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFCT) - helping couples understand relationship patterns and strengthen their emotional connection.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) - helping clients process traumatic and distressing experiences.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) - exploring how patterns of thinking and behavior affect emotions and daily life.
My Christian faith is personally important to me and has influenced my calling to this work.
If faith is also important to you, you're welcome to bring it into therapy.
Depending on your preferences, we may incorporate Christian beliefs and values, biblical principles, Scripture, or prayer into our work together. Faith integration is optional and tailored to your goals and comfort level.
