Whether you're seeking support for yourself, your teenager, or your relationship, we'll start by talking about what brings you to counseling and what you hope will change. Together, we'll determine whether my approach is a good fit for your needs.
Complete the appointment request form to tell me a little about what you're looking for and whether you prefer online or in-person counseling.
After I receive your request, I'll follow up with next steps and scheduling information.
Your first session gives us time to discuss what has been happening, what is most important to you, and what you hope to accomplish in counseling.
You don't need to arrive knowing exactly what to say or where to begin. We'll work together to identify your concerns, strengths, and therapy goals.
Therapy is collaborative. As our work continues, we'll develop a plan tailored to your needs and goals.
Depending on what brings you to counseling, our work may draw on approaches such as Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFCT), EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Gottman Method interventions.
For clients who want faith to be part of counseling, we can also thoughtfully incorporate Christian beliefs and values into the therapeutic process.
Online counseling can be a convenient option if you prefer to meet from home, have a busy schedule, or live outside the Grand Junction area.
In-person appointments are available through my affiliation with Thrive Counseling located at 827 Grand Avenue, Grand Junction, Colorado.
In-person counseling is currently private pay, and I do not accept insurance for these sessions. Thrive Counseling also offers private-pay teletherapy.
