Support for anxiety, relationships, depression, trauma, and the seasons of life that can leave you feeling overwhelmed.
You may be the person everyone else depends on.
From the outside, you might appear capable and put together. Inside, you may feel anxious, exhausted, disconnected, discouraged, or unsure.
Maybe you're struggling in an important relationship. Past experiences may still affect how you feel today. Or maybe you've spent so much time taking care of everyone else that you've lost touch with what you need.
Counseling can give you a place where you don't have to hold everything together.
Women come to counseling for many different reasons. You may be experiencing:
Anxiety, worry, or overthinking
Depression, sadness, or loss of motivation
Relationship or marital difficulties
Trauma or painful past experiences
Difficulty setting boundaries
People-pleasing or perfectionism
Stress and feeling emotionally overwhelmed
Low self-worth or self-doubt
Life transitions and role changes
Difficulty understanding or expressing your emotions
You don't need to fit neatly into a diagnosis or category to benefit from therapy.
Sometimes you simply know something needs to change.
I believe meaningful change often happens when we understand both what we're experiencing and the patterns beneath it.
Therapy with me is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based clinical care.
Depending on your needs, I may incorporate:
EMDR to help process distressing experiences and trauma.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to explore connections among thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and develop practical strategies for change.
Emotionally Focused and relational approaches to help you better understand attachment, emotional needs, and patterns in important relationships.
The goal isn't simply to help you cope with difficult feelings. It's to help you understand yourself more deeply and develop healthier ways to respond to life's challenges.
Sometimes anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or strong emotional reactions are linked to experiences that haven't been fully resolved.
When appropriate, EMDR therapy can help you process distressing experiences so they have less power over your present.
For some women, Christian faith is an important source of identity, meaning, strength, and hope.
If faith is important to you, you're welcome to bring it into counseling. We can thoughtfully explore how your beliefs intersect with your emotional health, relationships, decisions, and healing.
When desired, counseling may incorporate Christian beliefs, biblical principles, Scripture, or prayer.
Faith integration is optional and guided by your preferences. You do not need to be Christian - or include faith in counseling - to work with me.
We can meet online from anywhere in Colorado, making counseling more accessible when travel, work, family responsibilities, or distance make traditional appointments difficult.
I also offer in-person counseling in Grand Junction.
